Two builds on the same North Vancouver, BC property: a custom backyard shed framed from scratch on a poured concrete pad with a vaulted shiplap ceiling and white Hardie cladding, plus a full rebuild of the long exterior stair from the upper hot-tub deck down to the patio in pressure-treated stringers wrapped in AZEK trim with composite picture-frame treads.

Top-to-bottom basement renovation of a dated Richmond, BC home — out came the yellow walls, beige carpet and '90s tile, in went engineered hardwood throughout, a custom wall-to-wall built-in shelving unit, a paneled feature wall with a built-in linear electric fireplace, new Shaker doors and hardware throughout, and a tidied-up mechanical and back-entry layout.

Abbotsford, BC · 2023
A whole-house update for an Abbotsford, BC family — load-bearing wall opened up to turn a closed-off kitchen and living room into one open-concept main floor, the original kitchen pulled out and reinstalled downstairs in a new basement suite, a brand-new shaker kitchen with quartz peninsula and black mosaic backsplash installed in its place, the dated tile fireplace stripped and rebuilt as a floor-to-ceiling whitewashed plank-tile wall with 45° mitred corners around a linear gas insert, and outside the dated pony walls demoed with the posts wrapped in rough cedar, a vinyl-membrane deck installed on the upper deck and a composite landing at the entry.

Vancouver, BC · 2025
A Vancouver, BC rooftop deck where a failing vinyl membrane had been quietly soaking the structure underneath for years. We stripped the old vinyl, plywood and insulation back to the joists, found extensive rot in the floor framing and the exterior wall below the threshold, cut out and sistered every compromised joist and stud, replaced the rim, sheathing and batt insulation, installed new pressure-treated 2×4 sleepers for proper drainage slope, re-sheeted the deck and walls in fresh plywood, re-wrapped the wall in Tyvek, and finished the whole deck in a new heat-welded vinyl membrane that drains as one continuous surface — the rot stops here.
